MOPS
(Mothers Of
Preschoolers)

Encouragement.  Hugs.  Food.  Laughter.  A MOPS meeting includes practical teaching through speakers, video segments, discussion groups, and sometimes a craft.  Plus, there’s food…food you didn’t make!  But more important, you’ll get to have honest conversations with other moms who understand the joys and frustrations in this journey called motherhood.

About MOPS

Encouragement. Hugs. Food. Laughter. A MOPS meeting includes practical teaching through speakers, video segments, discussion groups, and sometimes a craft. Plus, there’s food…food you didn’t make! But more important, you’ll get to have honest conversations with other moms who understand the joys and frustrations in this journey called motherhood.

Any new moms who are looking for a group of women to journey with them in this new stage of life of motherhood, I’d recommend coming to MOPS!

Frequently asked questions (FAQS)

A. We believe that every mother should know that what she does matters and that she isn’t alone. At MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), we come together as a community of moms and moms-to-be who seek authentic connections, support, and personal growth. Our group is a warm, inviting place where you can come – just as you are – to be refreshed and encouraged.

A. MOPS Mānoa falls under MOPS International, a world-wide organization with more than 650 groups worldwide and 10,000 current members. Our group, MOPS Mānoa, is led by mothers who live in this community and who are passionate about bringing women together to share in the joys and challenges that this season of motherhood brings. Each year, there are opportunities for other members to join the Leadership Team.

A. Each meeting is different. There are speakers, video segments, discussions, fun activities, sometimes crafts, and most importantly, meaningful connection with other moms.

A. We’ve all been placed in this time and place in history, as a tribe of women who are raising the world. We know we mother better together, so all moms are welcome at MOPS. We especially target moms from the time you are pregnant to when your youngest kiddo is in Kindergarten.

A. No problem! Drop off your kids ages 1 year and up with our wonderful childcare team. Our MOPPETS Kids program is a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for kids to play and learn. MOPS Kids teachers and childcare workers interact with your children through stories, songs, play, and crafts. All childcare workers and volunteers are background checked and many of them have years of experience working with kids. Babies who are younger than one year will stay with you during MOPS.

A. Check out a meeting for free! If you find value in it and want to keep coming back, there is a yearly fee to help us keep the food warm and the lights on. $31.95 goes to MOPS International. With that you will receive a welcome packet full of goodies plus access to video segments, inspirational materials, and more online. An additional $70 goes to MOPS Mānoa to cover childcare costs, food, craft supplies, and other expenses. That makes a grand total of $101.95. We don’t want this cost to be a barrier for anyone. Financial Assistance is available!

A. We meet every 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month, except holidays, from 9:30am to 11:30am. Our year runs from September through April. We also have some fun activities planned for the summer and holiday breaks.
